The music video for Adele's song "Chasing Pavements" tells the story of her feelings after a breakup. It shows her expressing her emotions about her ex-boyfriend cheating on her, which led to conflict in their relationship. Throughout the video, she is torn between staying with the man she should be with or pursuing other relationships that will not work out. The album cover depicts her feeling isolated and insecure about her relationship as she "chases pavements" that will not solve her problems, as shown through her facial expression which looks scared and unsure.

The reason why indie was our chosen genre this is because in most indie music videos characters expresses their feelings in to situations that they have been through in their lives.<br />The chasing pavement video shows us that Adele is expressing her feelings to the audiences this is because her previous relationship her boyfriend cheated on her, which has lead to conflict. The name of the soundtrack “chasing pavements” connotes, how in reality, the man and the woman have there back turned and lie motionless after the disaster for e.g. the car crash incident. However during the chorus when she's referring to chasing pavements, they seem to move towards each other and seem to be compromising that relationship shown in this screenshot. <br />0168275<br />However the second screenshot below signifies that the couple embracing and then the woman hands the man a break-up letter and turns over to the shadowy figure representing another man.
